During the pandemic, classes were suspended but learning continued. How to enhance the effectiveness of education and harness the power of ideological and political education? SIAT delivers an answer with a warm and impactful integrated ideological and political classroom.

Leveraging the strategic partnership with the Shenzhen Reform and Opening-Up Cadre Faculty, SIAT has formed a "one course, multiple instructors" ideological and political teaching team, using theCurrent Affairs and Policiescourse as the main channel and platform to engage students with global affairs and political developments. The first lecture,Comprehensive and Strict Party Governance, used solid theory and rich case studies to vividly demonstrate the necessity and profound significance of the Party’s strict self-governance. Students actively shared their understanding and insights during interactive sessions, fostering a vibrant atmosphere of mutual learning and research.

TheCurrent Affairs and Policiescourse innovates assessment methods, using new formats to increase student engagement, broaden educational boundaries, and achieve effective ideological and political education outcomes. Abandoning traditional essay formats, students can form teams, collaborate, and draw on real-life materials to choose their own themes and presentation methods, showcasing their understanding of current affairs through PPTs or short videos. This transforms ideological education from theoretical papers into practical applications, serving as a vibrant source for moral education.

Teachers from the Shenzhen Reform and Opening-Up Cadre Faculty deliver a special lecture onComprehensive and Strict Party Governance.

A borderless ideological and political classroom, uniting multiple forces to create a collective educational impact.

The Faculty of Marxism Studies carefully curates a "dream team" of guest lecturers for ideological and political courses, organizing series like Master Lectures and Legal Education Lectures, inviting experts such as Professor Ma Shizhuang, Chief Academic Advisor of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and partners from renowned law firms to campus. This transforms ideological theories into practical life applications, enhancing students’ legal thinking and literacy, and inspiring young students to pursue the grand ambition of building a strong nation through science and technology.

In the first Master Lecture, Ma Shizhuang’s confidence and perseverance left a deep impression on many students. "Young people should strive for their goals," said this ideological education master, reflecting on his lifelong efforts, words that deeply resonate with young students.

In the first Legal Education Lecture, lawyer Lu Jiajun shared insights from over a thousand real cases from nearly a decade of practice, vividly explaining civil law knowledge relevant to daily life. Originally planned for one and a half hours, the lecture was extended to two and a half hours due to students’ enthusiastic questions and discussions. In this borderless ideological classroom, free from regional constraints, diverse forces converge to form a vital force and catalyst for ideological education.
