The Mathematics and Science Center includes teaching and research offices for Advanced Mathematics, University Physics, University Chemistry, and Life Sciences; the Humanities Center includes offices for Foreign Languages, History and Philosophy, Social Sciences, and Literature and Arts; the Sports Center includes a Physical Education Office and a Venue and Teaching Support Office; the Innovation Practice Base includes the Science Demonstration Lab, Engineering Training Lab, and Innovation and Competition Lab.

Educational Foundation

The Department of General Education will establish a 5,000㎡laboratory for foundational course teaching, providing experimental education for 800–1,000 undergraduates annually, meeting the teaching needs for foundational and practical training courses. The laboratory platform includes Mechanics and Thermodynamics Lab, Electromagnetism Lab, Optics Lab, Modern Physics Lab, Inorganic Chemistry Lab, Organic Chemistry Lab, Analytical Chemistry Lab, Physical Chemistry Lab, Cell Biology Lab, Molecular Biology Lab, Science Demonstration Lab, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lab, and Electrical and Electronic Training Lab, among others. It will create top-tier experimental teaching conditions for undergraduate foundational courses, supporting broad-based, interdisciplinary training and cultivating top innovative talent in new engineering and medical sciences. Focusing on key national areas, it emphasizes the leading role of foundational disciplines, laying a solid foundation for training interdisciplinary leaders capable of creatively solving critical scientific and technological challenges and leading future advancements.

Curriculum Design

The DepartmentofGeneral Education’s curriculum system includes compulsory and elective general education courses, covering three progressive categories: "Foundation", "Expansion", and "Practical Training", promoting the integrated development of students’ knowledge, skills, and qualities. The "Foundation" compulsory courses aim to build a solid base in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and computer science for the four-year undergraduate program; the "Expansion" elective courses broaden students’ perspectives and knowledge in humanities, arts, science, technology, and social analysis; the "Practical Training" courses provide problem-oriented practical project platforms, encouraging students with diverse career aspirations to engage in collaborative and experiential learning. The DepartmentofGeneral Education will provide high-quality educational resources and services, offering a solid foundation of knowledge and humanistic nourishment for cultivating innovative talent.
