On August 11,Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology and Tongwei Co., Ltd.signed a cooperation framework agreement to jointly build a practice teaching base, focusing on cultivating applied and innovative talents to meet industry development needs, providing students with practical opportunities in real work scenarios, and collaborating on technology research and development, achievement transformation, and employee training for deep industry-academia-research cooperation.

Wang Dawei,Associate Dean of the Faculty of Materials Science and Energy Engineering at Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology, andLiu Xiaohui,Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department of Tongwei Co., Ltd., signed on behalf of both parties, witnessed by Zhu Dijian, Party Secretary of Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology, Yang Fan, Assistant to the President and Director of the Education Department, Xing Guoqiang, Chief Technology Officer of Photovoltaics at Tongwei Co., Ltd. and Chairman and General Manager of Sichuan Tongwei Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic Industry Innovation Co., Ltd., and Yi Jicheng, Human Resources Director of Tongwei Co., Ltd.

According to the agreement,for the next three years, Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology will organize undergraduates annually to visit Tongwei Co., Ltd. for observation and internshipsto understand the needs of the green energy industry and cutting-edge information in related fields; both parties will jointly develop practice-oriented courses and promote faculty sharing; in terms of practical teaching, Tongwei Co., Ltd. will provide relevant internship positions for Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology undergraduates and postgraduates; additionally, Tongwei Co., Ltd. will actively support the career development of Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology students byproviding internship-to-employment channels or holding special recruitment events.

Zhu Dijian pointed out thatthis signing is an important measure for the university to implement its strategy of deep industry-academia-research integration, throughco-building a practice teaching base with Tongwei Co., Ltd., it can lay a solid foundation for undergraduate practical teaching and postgraduate joint training,which not only helps accelerate the university’s progress in talent cultivation and technological innovation but also delivers fresh talent with innovative thinking and practical skills to Tongwei Co., Ltd., achieving a win-win for the university, the company, and the students.

Xing Guoqiang stated that although Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology is a new research-oriented university established last year, it has already demonstrated strong capabilities in technological innovation and talent cultivation, hoping both parties will explore more cooperation possibilities in the future, such as establishing joint laboratories, conducting joint project collaborations, applying for major projects together, and jointly recruiting overseas talent, contributing to achieving high-level technological self-reliance and strength.

It is understood thatShenzhen University of Advanced Technology has previously collaborated withShenzhen BGI Genomics Co., Ltd.,Lenovo Information Products (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.,Shanghai United Imaging Healthcare Co., Ltd.and others in practice teaching base initiatives.In the future, the university will continue to expand its cooperation scope, putting science-education integration and industry-education integration into practice, cultivating top innovative talents that meet industry needs.
