Release time: 2025-02-22

From February 22 to 23, hosted by the China Electrotechnical Society and co-organized by Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology, Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenzhen Guangming District People’s Hospital, and the National Innovation Center for Advanced Medical Devices, theSecond National Plasma Biomedical Academic Conferencewas held at the International Conference Center in Shenzhen Tian’an Cloud Park, withover 200experts and scholars frommore than 80universities, research institutes, hospitals, and companies across the country attending.

It is understood thatplasma biomedicine is an emerging interdisciplinary field formed by the integration of electrical engineering, physics, materials science, life sciences, and clinical medicine, with applications covering environmental sterilization, biological breeding, food preservation, disease treatment, biomass conversion, and other fields, demonstrating broad application prospects.

During the two-day conference

participating scholars shared

the cutting-edge progress and application prospects of plasma technology in the biomedical field

through plenary reports, breakout session reports, poster presentations, and other forms

Among them, Chinese Academy of Sciences academician and professor at the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) General Hospital, Gu Ying, delivered a report titled“Light of Health”, discussing the impact of vitamin D deficiency on human health and proposing a new method of non-invasive ultraviolet phototherapy to supplement vitamin D, with innovative developments of bed-type, chair-type, cushion-type, and wearable phototherapy devices already achieved.
